Last updated October 20, 2026 · Draft under legal review

The ground rules for using Honeyfolk as a visitor, buyer or maker.

What Honeyfolk is

Honeyfolk is an online marketplace run by the operator of Honeyfolk (legal name to be added before launch). It helps people across the United States discover independent makers, artisans and home-based businesses.

Today the site lets you browse stalls, read maker stories and contact makers. It does not take payments or process orders yet.

Who can use it and accounts

Anyone may browse without an account. Maker accounts are for people able to enter a binding agreement where they live.

Keep your sign-in details private and tell us if you think your account was misused.

This part is still being reviewed and may change before launch.

Independent sellers

Makers are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Honeyfolk. Each maker is responsible for their own products, descriptions and customer promises.

Stalls marked “Example” are samples, not real sellers.

Listings and orders

Listings are reviewed by an admin before they appear publicly. A listing is an invitation to contact the maker, not a guarantee that an item is available.

How orders are accepted will be described here once ordering exists.

This part is still being reviewed and may change before launch.

Prices, taxes, commissions and paid tools

Basic listings are free. A commission on eligible transactions and optional paid seller tools are planned; no rate has been set and nobody is charged today. See the Seller Agreement fee schedule.

Who collects and remits sales tax has not been determined.

This part is still being reviewed and may change before launch.

Payments, refunds, chargebacks and payouts

There is no checkout on Honeyfolk today. Any purchase made through a maker's own shop link is between you and that maker.

Rules for payments, chargebacks and payouts will be added before payments are switched on.

This part is still being reviewed and may change before launch.

Cancellations and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws that apply to you.

This part is still being reviewed and may change before launch.

Your content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of what you post (stories, photos, videos, listings). You give Honeyfolk permission to display it on the site to run the marketplace.

Only post content you own or have permission to use.

This part is still being reviewed and may change before launch.

Things you may not do

Follow the Acceptable Use, Listings & Content Policy. Prohibited items and behaviour are listed there.

Suspension and termination

We may hide content or suspend accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. You can stop using the site at any time.

This part is still being reviewed and may change before launch.

Availability

We try to keep the site running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.

Liability and indemnification

Limits of liability and indemnification terms are pending attorney review and apply only to the extent the law allows.

This part is still being reviewed and may change before launch.

Governing law and disputes

Governing law and how disputes are resolved have not been decided and are pending legal review. No arbitration requirement applies.

This part is still being reviewed and may change before launch.

Changes and contact

We will post changes here with a new “Last updated” date and ask for renewed agreement when a change is material.

Questions: see Contact and Legal Notices.
